This week my group and I created something for Liam - a TIC TAC TOE game. Instead of X's and O's we created brains and knives out of paper. I believe that the art form we used was Economy. The concept of our game was simple yet quite abstract. Liam will have a fun time playing this with another person.

Favorite Daily Object Sketches
Out of all the daily object sketches I have done, these are by far my favorites.
When you have to draw the same thing for more then 9 weeks, it can get really hard to come up with something new. I'm really proud of how these turned out in the face of "artist's block".
“Who am I?” Final Project Artist Statement
ARTIST STATEMENT
From the time I was a young boy, I was told I was of Indian heritage.
My great grandmother and grandfather were full Indian, and my mother is half Indian.
The name 'Nakeil' is actually an Indian name. I was also told I have plenty of family living over there too. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The reason I decided to go into the direction of making a mask for this project is because I am very proud of my Indian culture. Their style of art is very unique and different from the rest of the world. There's a very interesting cultural flare to their art that I can't put my fingers on. I made this mask by applying paper mache to a plastic face mold. After the paper dried, I outlined the designs I wanted on it. Then I painted over the mask and there you have it! The Element I used was 3 dimensional, I picked this because alot more can be achieved in 3D.
